Benjamin Parker
Our good friends here in Nashville had a baby boy a little over a week ago. Last Tuesday we got to bring the family a meal and finally get to meet the little one. When they had the baby we were in Indy for some training. So here are some pictures of him, and Brandon holding him. Brandon did a lot better holding him, then the last time he held a newborn.
He was 7lbs and I think 10oz. When he was born, so he was tiny!

Pancakes!
Sunday, the last day my family was in town we decided to head over to Hillsboro Villege in Nashville and visit the Pancake pantry. Well needless to say they haven't been and its one of those things you have to do when visiting Nashville, so since we have been once together we probably won't go again.
We went after church and the line was really long. The last time Brandon and I went there was 3 years ago and the line wasn't as long and it moved rather quickly. So we thought it should be that bad. We were wrong. We waited about an hour and when it was all said and done it was 2.5 or 3 hours of our day. My dad got Sweet potato pancakes, Sarah got banana pancakes, and I got cinnamon and sugar. Just in case anyone reads this the best and well worth the wait were the sweet potato ones. That is what we should have all gotten. Mine were not good, and I would never get again. Later that day my mom said something that I guess we need to all remember and that is anything made with Sweet potato's are generally the taste the best. Sweet potato's, sweet potato fries, sweet potato casserole, and now sweet potato pancakes!
While my parents were packing and getting ready to leave, Nala and Maddie decided to love on some members of the family. I only got a couple of pictures but you get the point.

Wilson County Fair
Last weekend my parent came into town, and one of the things we went to was the Wilson County Fair. This is suppose to be the biggest fair around besides the state fair. I was really looking forward to it because I love seeing the animals. So we got there in the afternoon, and there were a ton of cars in the parking lot area. We headed in and started walking around. We came across a horse making home made ice cream. It was very good. We got to pet some of the horses while they were waiting on their turn to mix the mixture. So after that we walked around some more, we couldn't find any animals. It was crazy. We proceeded to walk around the area that all the rides were in for some carnival food. I love elephant ears, but last year at a different county fair we couldn't find any. Well I spotted a booth that said they had some. I was so excited. I walked up to the counter and they told me it was to hot our side and that the dough was not cooperating!! I could not believe it. After walking around some more I spotted another booth that had a sign up. Waited in line and asked for one, and they were sold out. I thought how could they be sold out, the fair just stared yesterday and they have another week left.
So we left the fair, it was a nice time and a very big fair. Sunday we woke up before church and we were watching the news. They were talking about how the fair had a huge turnout and they thought it was because of the fuel prices that people were using this as a vacation. A year ago that Saturday they had only 35,000 people. Well the Saturday we went they had 98,000!! No wonder why they were sold out of my Elephant Ears!!

Mama Mia
Mama Mia has been out for a while. In fact it came out the weekend of the Dark Night. I really wanted to see this movie, I had seen the Broadway productions a couple of years ago so I was looking forward to it. We were highly disappointed in it. My family came into town this weekend and we were not going to miss seeing it all together. Even Brandon wanted to see this movie with me. Usually when it comes to a chick flick he will fight me about going, but he wanted to see it. He likes the Abba cd which i think all the songs are from.
It seemed so fake to me, some parts were funny but Pierce Bronson really can't sing and watching him try is pretty funny. This movie is one that if you wanted to see it, you should wait until it comes on DVD. Then you probably only need to watch it once. This is just my opinion.
I think Brandon said it best, we should have just stayed home and listened to the ABBA cd then we wouldn't have been disappointed.
