After the Moderate Trail
Sorry for the delay, life has been pretty busy. The Thursday before Easter my family came into town, since it was my mom’s spring break. So we took off on Friday after the tornadoes came through to Gatlinburg. The weather wasn't the best while we were there, but we ventured out anyway. Saturday was Brandon’s only full day, since he had to go back to work. Since I am not working I was the lucky one that got to stay for a couple more days.
Friday night we arrived, and it was late. We weren't sure where to eat for dinner since it was 9 o'clock or later. We ate at shoneys!! It was actually pretty good. We had a salad bar, and then I also had a grilled cheese.
Saturday we got up and went to breakfast, and then we went shopping at the outlets. The reason why was because it was raining, those outlets were nice. They had a coach outlet!! The Jcrew outlet was amazing, and much more. Then on our way back we went go karting. I love go karting. We had fun. Then went to dinner at a local brewery, because we were told they had great pizza. It was really good!
Then Sunday morning we went up to Ober Gatlinburg, which is the sky resort up there for Easter service. It was cold, but very nice. Then we had breakfast, and then we went hiking! When looking for a hike to do, you have the choices of easy, moderate, and difficult. I didn't want to do the easy one, because for the most part we are an active family. We work out a lot, so I thought easy would just be too easy. Well after walking on the moderate trail, I would say the rating is for the condition of the trail. We made it all right, but we should have been more prepared.
Brandon had to leave to get back to work, so we just walked around and played a game that night. The rest of the time, we actually did some more hiking. But we did easy trails.
