This past week our office got a face lift. We are getting ready to open a concrete supply store, but first we had to remodel the office we were in. In our store we are going to specialize in decorative concrete products. So what better way to show off our products then on our own floors. Christine, Brandon and I along with some help from one of our customers we were able to stain our floors. We used acid stain in the main show room, and the three office we have we used water based dyes.

This Saturday I wanted to go golfing. One reason why was because while we were in florida, I got a great deal on a pair of golf shoes. Plus it was actually only suppose to be in the 90's on saturday, so not as hot as it can be here in TN. So this past saturday afternoon we were off. We only played 9 holes. (I only really like to play 9 holes, because 18 is just way to long) It took us 1.5 hours instead of the 1.57 the course said it would take. Brandon did very well, and well I did ok. I seemed to like the trees, most of the time the ball found its way over there. While we were in the club house waiting, they had some golf bags near by. You see I have this bag, that my dad bought me when I first started to have interest in golf. I think he got it at Kmart!! So it was time for me to upgrade my style, I mean i just got some golf shoes and so i needed to upgrade my kids bag. So they had a great deal on one so we got it. Now I am ready for my next round of golf. I got the shoes and the bag, so hopefully that will shave a few strikes of my game! hahaha

Batman

On friday night we went to the movies with some friends of ours to see Dark Night. It was good. I have watched all the Batman movies before, Brandon has not. He doesn't really like these kinds of movies. But he really enjoyed this one. The Joker was very dark, but again it was a great movie. I am glad that Brandon wanted to see this movie with me. However it ridiculous what you have to pay these days to see a movie. It cost us 20 dollars friday night just for the tickets. Oh well we rarely go and see movies though. So glad that it was worth it.

Well it was my birthday on Sunday. My in-laws came into town for the weekend, and so it was nice to have them here to help celebrate. I am getting old, closer to 30....i hate that. O well such is life you are always growing old. They brought me cake down from Ohio. My favorite cake is from this place called Litty's its amazing. The only cake I really like. So that was a nice surprise. Brandon had a good idea. I got to blow out the candles on friday night so we could all enjoy the cake all weekend long. Then on sunday my actual birthday I got to open my presents and eat more cake, and have homemade ice cream. I love Ice Cream!! It was a nice birthday.

This past july 4th we were able to visit my parents on their vacation. Every year my family goes to Florida for two weeks. Its not just my parents and sister, but also my Aunt Cindy, Uncle Larry, and all my cousins. Its something they have done ever since I was little. We stay at my parents timeshare. Many many memories at that place. If any one has a cottage or a lake house that they always went to when they were little. Well this is my cottage. It was my second home growing up. Its in Orlando, so what did we always do growing up DISNEY!! I still like to go. Anyway also while I was there my parents gave me my birthday present! I also spent a couple of birthdays down there growing up as well. Anyway we went to Celebration Station while we were in Florida for the fireworks. It is a neat community. Disney created it. They have their own schools, town center, shopping areas, golf course and much more. Segway scooters and small electric cars are all around. This is how people get around in their little community. If you are ever in Orlando its a neat place to park and walk around. Brandon played golf, I went to the pool during the day then on sunday we went to Walk Disney World. We had a great time. the place was not busy at all must have been the economy. Then my parents bought me Dance Dance Revolution! We had fun playing that, plus I got some money. So it was a great weekend.

Softball Injury

Last Thursday night we had a double header for softball. We are playing on the community league that we live in. It was a fun night. The first game in the last inning, and we had last bats, we were tied. The bases were loaded and I was up to bat. We only had one out. Might I add I am not the greatest batter in slow pitch. Its a completely different game than fast pitch and its hard for me to get the timming down. Anyway I knew if I did get out the guy behind me would hit a grand slam or something like that since he did it twice that day already. Another interesting fact is that usually you have to have equal number of guys to girl playing. Generally they stick the girl who isnt' the greatest at catcher. So I step up to the plate and I mean this team was scared!hahaha The pitcher did some switching around. He had everyone crowd the plate, moved the catcher to right field (she was not happy) and brought the second basemen in to play catcher. I was thinking it would be perfect if I could hit it just over the heads since they were crowding the plate. So first pitch and what do i do hit a little line drive over the shortstops head. (If he was playing where he should have been i might have been out) So the run on the third scores and we win the game!! That was fun.
Second game Brandon was playing third base, and while he was batting he was on hit a fly ball out to the outfield. And so he pushed his lucky. He was running from second to third to make it a tripple and the play was going to be close so he slid into the bag. Well he has a beautiful soar on his leg now. Might I add this is a week old injury so it looks a lot better. Nala loves to sniff the area that is soar. By the way he did all that and he was out. Bummer.

Pottery Barn

This year for our 4th anniversary, we didn't go anywhere so we decided that we would purchase dinning room furniture as our gift. Plus the present we received from our parents would go toward that. So we have 6 chairs, a buffet table, and lastnight we picked up our table. Oh my that is by far the heaviest piece of furniture that I have had to move. I really can't move it. So lastnight we got it in the house, and we were putting the leggs on the table. The first set went on with no problem. However the last set not so much. I can not tell you how frusterating it was lastnight. So I contacted PB and we have to exchange the legs for a new set. Hopefully that will work, but unfortunetly we are leaving to go out of town. Not unfortuent that we are leaving, but unfortunet that we can't get this taken care of today. So when we get back we will have to take care of it. I will post pictures when its finished. I hope everyone has a good 4th. We are heading to florida tonight.
